Come Join Us!
We're running a July & August homesteading skills camp! You have the option to attend in-person, and if attending in-person is not an option for you, online is available. In this case, your child will have access to all the resources & activities through a private membership site.
And the best part is that you as the parent are included! As you can see from the topics below, some (if not all) of these activities are going to require adult help, assistance, or supervision. Having parents involved in learning experiences with their children is a large part of the brand integrity of Star Students and what we stand for – what better way to marry passion with purpose than this?
Online camp is run for the month of July & August, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6 PM – 7/7:30 PM (EST) dependent on what skill or lesson is being taught that day. Topics include, but are not limited to: fire building & maintenance, gardening, animal care, maintenance, protection, & deterrence, off grid water, power, & heating systems, baking, food preservation, fishing, and general “offgrid life” knowledge. In-person camp is run the week of July 23 - 30, and August 13 - 20, and is an immersive experience.
If you wish to just attend by the class (ie/ one or more classes), each class individually is $20. Cost for the entire month’s camp is dependent on whether you are attending in-person or online. Online cost is $150, and includes access to all resources and activities, plus session recordings. In-person is $200, with minimal accommodations – we have laundry on-site, water on demand, refrigeration space for your specific needs, a plethora of space and activities you can explore and use at your leisure, BBQs for your usage, and you are of course welcome to use the Wi-Fi and Internet accessories as needed.
Whether you're up close & personal, or experiencing it second-hand, your child (& you) will learn loads of new skills! Come join us for the experience of a lifetime!
