Feel Safe Where You Live, Work and Play: Sabrina Osso

This week, on The Parents' Solution, I talked with Sabrina Osso. Sabrina is the founder and CEO of Osso Safe. Sabrina works as a consultant for promoting safety and preventing violence in workplaces, schools, and places of residence.

Osso Safe is a company that strives to ensure that people feel safe where they live, work, and play through education (awareness) and technology. During the interview, Sabrina explained why she is keen on making safety a required standard condition of residency.

"Everything that happens in public actually happens in the home first. Home should be safe. It should be a sanctuary, not a war zone."

Sabrina talked about the Osso Safe app which is currently available on apple.com. This unique app is currently being marketed in the real estate industry to help prevent violence in places of residence. Osso Safe is a company that is fervent about incorporating preventative safety measures.

Sabrina touched on the following key points:

• the difference between discipline and abuse

• the responsibility of parents to break the cycle of abuse

• how parents can set a healthy example of what to do when a mistake has been made

Sabrina offered practical tips that when applied can help an adult make great strides in preventing and/or stopping abuse, so that home, workplaces and schools become safe environments.

Sabrina has actually written a children's book, titled Home Safe Home, For You and Me, and is available on Amazon, both on Kindle and in paperback format. They have also broadcasted a video called Osso Safe Kids. Both the book and video are tools for kids to recognize that they have choice when it comes to their residency.
