Keeping the "Fun" in Learning With Kiana Davis

This week, on The Parents' Solution, I was privileged to speak with Kiana Davis. Kiana has been an educator for more than 14 years. She currently owns a private tutoring and childcare business Tutor Kids n' More and has a passion for education and being of service to those in need.
As well as being a teacher, Kiana is also a student, as she is studying for her Master's in clinical mental health and substance abuse disorder counselling. Kiana's dream is to create a space in the community that offers private #tutoring, #childcare, #mindfulness activities and workshops, #mental #health support, substance use disorder counselling and more.
Right from the beginning of our conversation, you can hear Kiana's passion for teaching and learning. She has a very warm personality and reflects on how important it is to foster humility along the education journey.

Kiana offered us a glimpse into that process as she reflected on how she tries to creatively bring fun back into learning. Unfortunately, too often students lose their creativity and love of learning as they go through the rigors of traditional schooling. Kiana wants the learning process to be different for her students so that they meet each new idea, or formula, or lesson with enthusiasm and excitement.
