What happens on a consultation?

A consultation is a short, friendly conversation — not a sales pitch. Here's exactly how it goes, so you know what to expect before you book.

1

You tell us about your child

Their grade, strengths, what's been hard, and what you're hoping for.

2

We ask a few questions

Enough to understand the real situation — not a checklist.

3

We give an honest read

What would actually help, and which support path fits your family.

4

You decide, no pressure

Take the recommendation and think it over. There's no obligation to enroll.

Make it count

Who is this for, and what should you bring?

The consultation is for any K–12 parent weighing homeschooling, tutoring, or a change in their child's education. A little prep helps us give you a sharper recommendation.

The initial consultation is a no-obligation conversation to understand your child and recommend an approach. Book a time that suits you and we'll take it from there.
Do I have to commit to anything?
No. The call is about clarity, not pressure. You'll get an honest recommendation and can take all the time you need to decide — including deciding we're not the right fit.
What if I'm not ready for a call yet?
That's exactly what the personalized plan request is for. Share your child's situation in writing and we'll come back with a tailored recommendation — no call needed to begin. Request a plan →
How quickly will you respond?
Booked calls are confirmed by email right away. Written plan requests and emails are typically answered within a couple of business days by a real member of the team.
What can you help with?
Personalized homeschool programs, Done-For-You homeschooling, K–12 tutoring, parent coaching, and transitions out of traditional school.
Do you help with homeschool legal requirements?
We provide educational planning, instruction, and guidance, but homeschool laws and requirements vary by location and families are responsible for confirming their own with the appropriate authorities. Star Students does not provide legal advice.
