How we recommend

How do we decide which service to recommend?

We don't sell packages off a shelf. Every family goes through the same short process, and the recommendation follows the child — including, sometimes, recommending less than you expected.

1

Understand your child

A consultation about their strengths, struggles, and what you're hoping for.

2

Find the real need

The presenting problem isn't always the root one — we look underneath it.

3

Recommend the right scope

The service mix that fits — not the biggest package we offer.

4

Adjust as they grow

Support scales up or down over time as your child's needs change.

An honest comparison

Why use one education partner instead of separate providers?

Many families assemble support piecemeal — a curriculum here, a tutor there, advice from a forum. It can work, but someone still has to coordinate it all, and that someone is usually the parent.

What won't any of our services promise?

A premium education partner should be straight about its limits. Before you choose any service — ours included — these points hold.

  • No guarantee of specific grades, scores, placements, or admissions outcomes.
  • Homeschool laws, reporting, and graduation requirements vary by location and stay your family's responsibility.
  • Progress depends on attendance, consistency, and the scope of support chosen.
  • Some children need clinical, therapeutic, or specialized services beyond educational support.
  • Not every child needs the same intensity of support — and we'll say so.
  • Parent involvement still matters, even with Done-For-You support.
Important Star Students provides educational planning, instruction, tutoring, and parent guidance. Homeschool laws, reporting rules, graduation requirements, diploma recognition, and education records vary by location and family circumstances. Families are responsible for confirming local legal requirements with the appropriate authorities or qualified professionals. Star Students does not provide legal, clinical, or therapeutic advice.
Parent questions

Frequently asked questions

What services does Star Students offer?
Can we combine services?
Yes — most families do. A common blend is parent-led homeschooling with coaching, plus live teaching or tutoring in the subjects where you want a specialist, such as math or writing. We'll recommend the right mix on a consultation.
Do you only work with homeschool families?
No. Tutoring supports many students who attend traditional school and just need targeted help in a subject. Homeschool services are there if and when your family wants a bigger change.
Are sessions one-on-one or in groups?
Primarily one-to-one, so sessions are fully shaped around your child. Small collaborative groups of up to three students are available where they fit the learner and the goal.
Who delivers the teaching?
Qualified, credentialed educators — each holding at least a B.A. or B.Ed. — matched to your child by subject, level, and temperament. You can meet the team here.
How much do your services cost?
Costs depend on the scope of support — a single tutoring subject is very different from a full Done-For-You program. After a consultation, you receive a personalized quote for exactly the support your child needs. Request a personalized plan →
How do we know which service is right for our child?
Start with a consultation. We listen to your child's situation first, then recommend the service — or combination — that actually fits, including telling you honestly if less support is enough. Book a consultation →
Do you provide homeschool legal compliance?
No. We provide educational planning, instruction, and guidance. Homeschool laws and requirements vary by location, and families are responsible for confirming their own with the appropriate authorities. Star Students does not provide legal advice.
