The bar we hold

Who are we looking for?

We promise families qualified, credentialed educators — so that's exactly who we hire. If you have the qualifications and the heart for personalized teaching, we'd like to hear from you.

  • A relevant degree — every Star Students educator holds at least a B.A. or B.Ed.
  • Teaching certification is valued and preferred, especially for core subjects.
  • Subject expertise in your area, from early literacy and math to high school sciences.
  • A personalized approach — you adapt to how each child learns, not one fixed method.
  • Warmth and patience — the qualities that make a hesitant student willing to try again.
A note on fit

Our students include children who are gifted, anxious, neurodivergent, or simply not thriving in a standard setting. The educators who do best here genuinely enjoy meeting a child where they are and building from there.

Specialist experience — including Special Education and IB curriculum — is especially welcome.
